In Bloom

Cherry blossom swells my heart Harks those that stroll on by Each year I hear the same Relish every word, 'tell me more' I cry Rush of pride, fills me limb to limb You'll return again, this isn't a goodbye But the wind blows and the rain falls Leaves me in a mess Oh how fleeting this love was Such sorrow to express Seeking another kindred soul On my own now I guess My time will come around again In Bloom Poetry Contest 21st February 2023 Sponsored by: Joseph May

Thanks Sam, I've been spotting cherry blossom on my travels, always a delight! I used to have a few of my own but have none in my new garden. Seems a shame - I might have to plant one as they are my ultimate favourite flower
