Imagine That

If there was no crime No hurry for time No genocide No homicide If there was no mothers burying their sons If mankind didn't invent guns If schools still had prayer If everybody recognize Jesus Christ as our savior If there was love and respect No hate between white and black No homeless No loneliness No wars No rich or poor No accidents or disasters If man only served one master (God) Imagining is good for all it's worth Heaven is definitely not planet earth

Reminds me of Lennon's "Imagine." Yes, we can imagine the world you describe, but as you indicate, reality bites.

Congratulations on being featured, Jeffrey! A beautiful write, the what "If" and the "No" mores. The world does feel topsy turvey..maybe we do "hurry for time", and rush past the importants. No, "Heavaen is not planet earth"...schools teach of the universe, but sadly, they have removed prayer. Best to you and yours...Mikki

It sounds like you have described Heaven. If we choose the right and allow our Lord Jesus Christ to guide us, we'll live in a place like that. Too bad we can't wave a magic wand and make everyone perfect.... Oh well, I guess we'll just make the best of what we have for now. Congratulations on having your poem featured this week.
