I love this song.
We do all pay the piper in the end.

[verse]
I'm stepping out
you stepped away again
and it's been too long
so I am not waiting again
I'm stepping on
I am on a mission
to get in the groove
of being alive again
I'm stepping out
no limits on me
I will do what I want
whatever comes to me
set me free...
I'm stepping on
it's about damn time
I gave us enough tries
and even though it's not goodbyes
it's until you revive it
and then we will see
where we stand
I'm stepping out
[chorus]
I've been the good girl
played by the rules
I spent many years
alone like a fool
It's high time
I had my time
doin whatever I felt like
We all pay the piper in the end
[ musical interlude]
[verse]
We had a run
you can't pretend
I did give it time
let you make amends
You stepped away
in oh so many ways
I was like a rock
but now this stone is moved
I am goin for a cruise
and a tumble
[Refrain]
The stream of consciousness says
I gave it high time
and now it's my time
[musical interlude]
[verse]
I am stepping out
You always told me I could
Like it was yours to grant
Even though at that time
I could not contemplate
My heart was yours
But now, it's just too damn late
I'm stepping on
and I have no idea where it will take me
My mind has wandered lately
And my heart is on hold
I'm stepping out
I will be bold
[verse]
Time waits for no man
Energy builds and its
Impossible to dam
You can put a damper
on your hopes and your dreams
but after a time it seems
You are waiting on pipe dreams
and empty promises
I'm stepping out
to find what I need
In time maybe you will rejoin me
[chorus]
I've been the good girl
played by the rules
I spent many years
alone like a fool
But it's high time
I had my time
doin whatever I feel like
We all pay the piper in the end
[guitar solo]
I'm stepping out
to find what I need
In time maybe you will rejoin me
[chorus]
I've been the good girl
played by the moral rules
I spent many years
alone like a fool
But it's high time
I had my time
doin whatever I feel like
We all pay the piper in the end
[Outro]
[vocals fade]
I'm stepping out
to find what I need
In time maybe you will rejoin me
[Refrain]
The stream of consciousness says
I gave it high time
and now it's my time
[Chorus]
I've been the good girl
played by the rules
I spent many years
alone like a fool
But it's high time
I had my time
doin whatever I feel like
We all pay the piper in the end
steppin out
steppin on
steppin on
[End]
