I'M a Peacock

I resemble a king yet I’m a servant for life I cry golden tears yet my pockets are filled with dimes My dreams are infinite yet reality ends in cries For a man like me, the world ain’t enough for my one two strides I see the world on a rearview with my present on rewind Every moment is the same the only difference is time For me to be a better man I need to let the past go behind As I’m sure to rip the sows as my pride is my ride My friend is wonder and my surname is sorrow I got married at a tender age in my adolescent phase Wedded to the devil who promised hunger no more Yet feeling empty still searching for my soul which is hard to trace I’m a man with a million names still searching for perfection I gleam with light for the blind to see my reflection I’m standing still like a stain ever fixed in my position Who am I? I’m a peacock taking pride for my ambition
