I Wandered Through the Garden

I wandered through the garden weary Tracing her steps among the roses, Feeling her presence here I grew teary The scent of her perfume fondly reposes. Though she no longer tends the flowers Or walks these paths worn by her feet, She tends blossoms now in ivory towers Waits patiently until once again we meet.

Hello Milton ... a lovely tribute indeed and a fine verse to read, although sad - thanks Milton - Lindsay

Poignant, Milt. And the sweetness overcomes the sadness. The wait, not only worth it, but increases the anticipation. Lovely penned, Gershon

Thanks, Gershon, I appreciate your kind thoughts. I think more of Deb as I go into this season. She embarked on her journey Thanksgiving week (November 20) 2018.

She is watching too; she senses it when you are in her garden, Hank.

Lovely sentiments. The people you truly love are always near in spirit. Comforting last two lines of poem. Have a good day, Milt.
