I Used To Have
I used to have,
Teeth in my head,
Now they grin at me,
From the side of the bed.
I used to have,
A head full of hair,
Now it’s gone,
I must find, a hat to wear.
I used to have,
Perfect eyesight,
Now I can’t see in the day,
Let alone at night.
I used to have,
A wonderful complexion,
Now I jump,
At my own reflection.
I used to have,
A memory second to none,
Now ten minutes later,
My thoughts are gone.
I used to have,
A step that was sprightly,
Now I need to pee,
A dozen times nightly.
I used to have,
Such a cute pert bum,
Now I just sit on it,
Feeling glum.
I used to have,
A beautiful wife,
Now she nags at me,
Causing me strife.
I used to have,
All these things,
To my life,
Joy they did bring.
