I Saw The Starshine
I saw you looking through the starshine
And you told me everything was fine
With an ear tickling giggle
And a little rump wiggle
You tackled me
And as we tumbled I felt free
The shackles of yesterday unlocked
Turning back the hands of the clock
I felt like despite my fears
Your smile de-aged me 20 years
So hand in hand I dance
Daring to take this chance
Watching as lifelong misery
Became a footnote in history
You took this lonely frown
And painted it upside down
You're like a bunny
And it's so very funny
Watching you bounce from place to place
As a smile adorns my face
I just imagine all these things
As trumpets sound and angels sing
And deep down I knew
There's nobody like you
You filled the emptiness in my soul
Finally making it feel whole
And I saw you looking through the starshine
Reminding me everything was fine
Because everything is fine
As long as there is starshine
Because when I finally awake
I see that it was all fake
And it is then that I truly see
You're what my imagination wanted you to be
And deep down I knew
It hurts but I had to believe in you
So when my eyes close I see the starshine
Once again reminding me everything is fine...
