I dreamt about the future, I dreamt about the end

I dreamt about our future baby, I dreamt about you and me. I dreamt we left this dead-end town, I dreamt we left our parents’ homes. There was a storm of ages It was racing across these plains. It was gathering wind It was gathering speed. I dreamt this storm was heading to Chicago Just like you and me. It sucked up every drop of water from along its way, And then it rained its fury down. It almost drowned out the sirens’ song- They were wailing in the night. They were warning of the storm They were crying, it’s the end. I dreamt that I was racing through the city streets, I was gathering speed. Now I have to tell you There is more to this dream. Some distant universe came crashing through. Time stood still, And then, it could not stand at all. Explosions of all colors We had never seen before. I dreamt of kissing you baby, I dreamt about the end. It all went down in Chicago, baby If we hurry, we can make it there. We can hold hands and watch the universe collapse upon us We can watch the end baby, just you and me.
