Hypnagogic Days
Shrouded in quixotic mist
Rolling fields of emerald green
Land carved by coral blue
Simply, ineffable
The chatoyant stream flows
Water shifting, mellifluous and giving
The glammour of the alblaster chalky frame
Impeccably, unstained
An ingenue and I, together we played
Those simpler times catching fish all day
Two wide-eyed kids, "ridin' the waves"
Blissfully, unaware
With grace and demure; yet cynosure of none
Lissome as a fox, my childhood one
Twinkling cinnamon gaze and panacea smile
Beauty, unrivaled
Shrouded in quixotic mist
Where the lily petals dance
Dreamily solaceful
Infinite, sempiternal
Unforgettable
Her face
Unforgettable
That place
