oh, the irony... glued to electronic devices designed to foster connectedness, yet the yawning gulf between relationships w i d e n as a result. with technology overuse, far too many become increasingly isolated. with lips pressed against cell phones, fingertips tap-dancing on keyboards as minutes elongate to hours; we grow oblivious to the world around us: ringing phones, ticking clocks, chirping birds, loved ones calling out to us go unheard; undivided attention denied to acquaintances, friends, even family members... is it any wonder we misspend time electronically plugged in? what has happened to face-to-face communication? what a world of difference it makes temporarily disconnecting to r e e s t a b l i s h the human connection.

Our generation feels it so badly. But our kids and teens do not know that once face to face communication existed between dear ones and friends much more than it is today and relatives used to visit our houses more often. Now all are glued to internet and mobiles. Technology sure has brought tremendous progress. But we have begun to doubt if its demerits outweigh its merits. A powerful poem on man's alienation from fellow beings because of technology.

Thank you, Sandra: -) Such people are annoying, lol. It's best to simply cease conversation with them.
