How Can I Tell You

Please forgive my intrusion, I’ve taken care too far. Please see thru my confusion, stand near... not afar. I only meant to include you, I can share your words for hours. I promise not to misuse you, let some time just be ours. If I can touch you with my words, then frost will let me be. But if you think it’s all absurd, then let the ice entrap me. I won’t think that you’re unkind, it wasn’t you who used the night. Imagining ways to please your mind, until morning shared its light. My words are here, yours to enjoy, they give me a chance to know you. It won’t hurt if I’m but a toy, because in the end it’s up to you. Sometimes I can’t think of the right words to say.... And then when I do, a wind blows them away... I’ll listen to the wind, the wind of your soul. Where I’ll end up, only you really know. I’ve let my words take me, to where my heart wants to go. Now if I laugh just a little bit, maybe I can hide my thoughts of you. And maybe I can recall, how it used to be, the night when I met you. I want to, wish to... hold you... feel my arms around you. To feel my arms around you, as the sea surrounds the shore. Love, how can I tell you, the way I feel about you, any more?
