Cards were frowned upon by maternal relatives. Dominoes, 42 - all good. Ha! I love many card games. Cute gw. laf

Both Judaism and Christianity had strictures against playing cards. In Judaism, a card-player was viewed as someone who was not making the world a better place. He was not permitted to witness documents or testify in court. In Christianity, I think that it used to be considered immoral, kind of like buying liquor on Sundays used to be. As for me, I play my cards close to the vest. lol. Cheers, gw

At least they are playing with a full deck except those euchre players. This was fun Gershon.

Ha, ha! You're right, Tom... At least cards aren't like potato chips. I.e., I won't gain weight. In fact, the way I play, I'll lose weight, as my wallet will shrink. lol. Thanks, gw
