His Eyes

From the moment I saw the twinkle In his muddy pools I knew. I saw everything I needed, I can't explain it But his eyes spoke my language. I look into his eyes now And see his pain. Whilst others believe his smile I see his suffering from ill health. Our eyes understand each other. I long for that delightful twinkle To return to his troubled eyes, I pray For happiness to return to those muddy pools, I can't explain it But his eyes speak louder than his voice. 6th March 2017

Good Morning Elizabeth. Bless you for recognizing the pain within the eyes and looking beyond any false smile. I found beauty within your heartfelt words. And yes, the eyes speak louder than words. Well done and expressed.

My poor husband battles with illness. He puts on a brave face for everyone but his eyes let him down.

I could feel the sadness within this well written poem Elizabeth, eyes do indicate how we feel, enjoyed, Roy.

The eyes do reveal so much Elizabeth. Nice done, this piece is so expressive, I assume like his eyes. :)
