Hiding In Bed
I don’t want a shower, I don’t want a bath,
I don’t care if the world thinks I’m crazy or daft
I don’t want to go out, it’s simple but true
I just want to stay in my bed – with you.
I don’t need to get dressed , I like my pyjamas
I’m happy to only eat cake and bananas
I don’t need excitement - the thing I like most
Is the three of us staying in bed, eating toast.
I don’t care if it’s morning, or mid-afternoon
I don’t care if it’s August , or April, or June
I don’t care if it’s dark, I don’t care if it’s light
I don’t care if it’s six or half past midnight.
I don’t like it out there, so I’m staying in here
Where no-one can see me, and no-one can hear.
I will pull the covers right over my head
And never, never, get out of this bed.
