Heaven Renamed
Free falling from your will,
diving towards
a one way kind of thrill,
Somehow, with you,
sin doesn't seem so unlikely,
like finding comparison
through contrast,
Sainthood tonight,
is highly unlikely;
You've been the only one
who has righted me.
I feel safe in turbulence,
Anxious in tranquility.
My mission isn't
complete
until I find you in all things.
You toppled my dictatorship
Feel whole when you hold me,
And hollow when you
know me.
I've been so wrong
for denying what
cannot be denied,
Tonight, let's not make heaven
seem a lifetime away.
Diving into your eyes
and becoming that speck
that gives insight.
Question all of it
Religion is counterfeit
Rewrite all of it...
Wonder how two people
accomplish
such an astonishing
miracle
completely unknowing
the first and last of it?
Constantly misguided by
circumstantial evidence.
Yelling from cloud nine
listening to our echoes say
a little bit further
Climbing, neglecting exhilaration.
The drug of being wanted,
a fall from grace,
landing face to face,
naked and unashamed,
whispering your name,
Heaven reframed.
This sin, I stake
my claim.
