Heartbreak In Eden

Whose heart was most wounded, ancient Adam, when lovely Eve, once apple of your eye, appeared not only your fair, sweet madame, but also passion's plaything doomed to die? How did it feel to see her smile waver, to watch her, helpless, take a step away? Did she cry, seeing she was for savor? Did your heart split at the loss of child's play? When she kissed you after the garden shut, did you recall before dark transaction when only butterflies filled up your gut? Now you weave love with filthy attraction. Oh, Adam ... may I ne'er taste that disgrace: seeing innocence perish in her face. 2 May 2023

Hey Flo, What a great play on words to use Eve as the apple of Adam's eye. I hope all is well with you.
