He Said He'D Come Back Soon
Time passed
He said He'd come back soon
Counting by forty
And by the moon
While He was gone
Little they knew
He would come back
His word was true
Did set out the chosen twelve
To look for Him
Best place to start
in Bethlehem
One carried wine
The other bread
John knew His favorite pillow
To lay His head
Mark led them with the keenest eye
There was no need
For those to ask Him why..
Luke stored his medical supplies
The Master may have needed healing for His eyes
Paul carried water, to quinch His thurst
In all their hearts, their Lord was first
