Good Morning
Good morning was a special time
When all things start anew
Yesterdays grew the memories
Made by me and you
The day would end with a goodnight kiss
As we closed our eyes to sleep
Each night we bowed our heads to God
Praying our souls to keep
We prayed this prayer for fifty-two years
As each morning came and went
I never took them for granted
For you were Heaven sent
But the days somehow seem longer now
Since you passed away
You took good morning with you
It's something I never say
I wait all day to talk to you
'Till I turn out the light
Good morning doesn't seem the same
So I whisper the words, "Goodnight"
