Girl I Must Say Goodbye To You- -

I've held your hand; I've kissed your lips; I've befriended your father; I've reenlist into your family; Girl, your the one I want to marry.... I've helped your little brother; Taken groceries in for your mother; I've came over when you father was sick, cut the grass for him... But none of this really matters, no doesn't matter; Within this all of the chatter; I must say goodbye to you; Why!!! Mustn't lie to you No! don't you cry just don't do Cause I do, I really love you; heartbroken as it must may; I have to say goodbye cause my family's moving away; Been my girl, my friend, girlfriend since seventh-grade; Now I have to move away; Must insist I won't forget you girl; You are and were, yes and shall be my perfect girl; Must spend the rest of my senior year on the east coast; I shall not forget you, this ain't no joke; I must say goodbye to you; Why!!! Mustn't lie to you No! don't you cry just don't do Cause I do, I really love you; heartbroken as it must may; Maybe when we're adults we will met again; and maybe if we're single we can become friends; Friends turns to lovers, into marriage; Keeping in this stride, my hope is alive... Yes, I'm going away, moving girl To another part of this cruel world Mustn't lie to you, yes I still love you; This is so true, I'm so sorry, sorry girl; Mustn't lie to you No! don't you cry just don't do Cause I do, I really love you; heartbroken as it must may; This maybe sure... yes it's true; I must say goodbye to you... 4/4/1974 Written words by James Edward Lee Arranged music by Alton Adkins 1974, 2019©
