Gemini Garden, Silent One
“We are all petals of imperfection sharing the same sun” - Silent One
**Honestly The Sad**
He wished to play with friends,
But his mom's rules set tight ends.
The fence knob was too high,
Beyond his reach, he would try.
Then he wished to grow tall,
And with time, he did stand tall.
He could now reach the knob,
Unlocking it, no longer a sob.
Praise God, the fence did fall.
Now he wished to help his friend,
Whose mother's life came to an end.
He gave his all to aid and mend,
But only, was abandoned in the end.
"Good Lord," he said,
"It's fine," he claimed,
"Must there be a meaning
For my merry birth?
I devote to making happy
This very bloody earth…"
He dreamed of success,
With hard work and finesse.
What did he get?
Not success, for sure.
Then he questioned his God,
"Will I ever be happy?
Even if I win, now.
What use will it be?
Is this the price I pay for them?
Is this the help you sought from me?
To crucify my joy & ease someone’s despair?"
Not satisfied with this judgment,
He refused to accept it as fair.
"I claim hereby,
Forever shall I be,
Honestly The Sad."
