Forgetfulness

Forgetfulness is not one of my better traits Never the result of any foregone conclusion, I could blame it on the narrow-minded fates Or other faults my mind harbors in profusion. Of all those ills, none causes me such anxiety As forgetting a most important appointment, And I try to make all those occasions a rarity Since they always produce a disappointment And, sometimes a missed appointment fee! I do not like those "missed appointment fees" either; but understand why they do it.

Oh, I do, too, Caren. I have always hated when someone wasted my time by making an appointment and then not showing up. Steps on my last nerve!

Me too, Jeff. I get a reminder which pops up on my screen each morning if I have entered it into my computer calendar. That comes in very handy.

I have to write down on a large desk calendar all my upcoming appointments, time and place. And that also includes paying my bills on time, otherwise I pay a fine for lateness, even though my record is near perfect! To stop the late fees I pay on line. / Maurice
