For That Love I Wish To Find
For that love I wish to find
Oh, how I long for a water lily outside the reach of this sheltered land, to venture out from this oasis and cross the desert for her hand.
The sand and wind and sun surround me as whispers rise within my mind, hope and fear and doubt confound me as I regret such wasted time.
Oh, how I long for a water lily, beyond this desert of which I roam, and how I miss the tranquil waters and gentle shade 'twas once my home.
Awoken from a sleepless dream by the pounding of this dazzled heart, gazing out toward the horizon I glimpse a vision as such I've sought. A delicate beauty, much like the lily, within this land so harsh and cruel, a cactus flower so vibrant and pink contrasts this world which she must rule.
Oh, how I long for such a beauty, whose thriving soul appears so clear, still, though I honor the cactus flower, I do not hope to hold her near.
Oh, how I long for a water lily whose tenderness accepts my kiss, to dance across the moonlit waters, hand in hand, through the rainbow mist. Each step a beautiful dream is born, as enchanting as that of life itself, each second holds eternity firm, such splendor stands beyond all wealth. Baptized by the deepest emotion, what blocks our path we shall wash clean, hand in hand we hold the purest love, I'm bound by such a glorious dream.
