For Holly and Jessica
After dawn,
Invisible raqin
Seeps through morning sunshine,
Welling in eyes of well wishers,
Descending like dew
Upon the sad sea of flowers.
After noon,
An afternoon gold
Enfolds those heartfelt flowers
And if you listen
You can almost hear
Chattering chuckles,girlish giggles
From somewhere in a sacred sky.
After dark,
One by one the stars appear,
And though they may be unaware,
Two bright new lights in the night sky
Smile down on all who remember
And will forever recall.
