Oh, Foolish man
Where do you stand?
Amidst the embalm methods of your mediums
God knows the Foolish man
Such a brutish man
Hasn’t got a worthwhile plan
No one understands
The ways of a Foolish man
He who dreams to build a better life on this world
Instead of laying up riches for heaven
I was once a Foolish man
Thought I had the plan
Now I understand
The ways of a Foolish man
Oh, Lord, My God give me all
I’m in awe, give me your best
I’m storing up the rest
God knows the Foolish man
Such a brutish man
Hasn’t got a worthwhile plan
No one understands
The ways of a Foolish man
He who dreams to build a better life on this world
Instead of laying up riches for heaven
Father help me resist the desire to be rich in this life
Take me higher after this life
Everyday O Lord ever day banking on this life alone
Bankrupt trying to get an earthly loan
O’ God keep my investments in a divine deposit
Give me way more than I need
Oh, Lord, My God give me all
I’m in awe, give me your best
I’m storing up the rest
“He said, “This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods”
Hallelujah
