Follow the Jewels
Bustling town along the seaside, sapphires glitter upon the ocean
Buildings made of ivory stones, ruby shingles full of devotion
Clock tower of rosette bricks, stand proudly in the centre
Chimneys bellow wooden aromas, furnaces release fireflies ember
Trees rattle with glimmering peridots, grass cheer of emerald green
Warmth of the radiant sun, with raindrops of aquamarine
Wisteria wanders along picket fences, laundry waves in the summer breeze
Lazy cat saunters the neighbourhood, gardens smell of fresh potpourri
Children sing on playgrounds, while grown ups still fly kites
Pensioners play chess at parks, all souls gentle as twilight
Bakers with jolly humble bellies, generously feeding all
Firestones lit early mornings, offer warm milk to every paw
Quaint little coffee shops, fill the town with pep and perk
Plenty of peaceful antique seats, crafted by marvellous woodwork
Yarn shops stuffed with the softest, rainbow of colours cascade the wall
Coziest couch by the fire, wearing a cherished heirloom shawl
Bookstores dazed with literature, collections of prints flood the floor
Hidden meows from high shelves, fables and tales travel offshore
Bountiful are the crystal orchards, anglers sail the open water
Fairy lights usher the evening streets, everyday auras of sweet laughter
Guidance to this serene haven, exist when my head touches a pillow
Follow the jewels across the sky, wake up under a weeping willow
