she reluctantly... dismantles her walls and let's love in long after the first perfidy, only to be struck by yet another thunderbolt of betrayal. her heart splinters in half and hardens to granite; cold to the touch! impregnable barricade now wraps around a heart once inviting with "stay away" sign posted on it. beset by cynicism and lingering distrust. an irreparable fissure. What a powerful poem ! When hopes are shattered over and over again . one becomes so frigid and nothing can thaw the frozen interiors.... ! I admire your poetic gifts so much Edward !
