February's Fool
FEBRUARY FOOL
There was a little groundhog
Who peeked at the world to see
What was new and different,
So he came and visited me.
I told him that I saw a man
Gentlemen in bearing
Truthful, moral, despite the fact
That's an earring he is wearing.
"An earring?" said the groundhog
"Why in the would he want
To trick his friends and neighbors?
He knows co-workers will taunt!”
"He's a fine young man, don't you know?"
Said Irish Sean, the Father
"He grew a pony tail too this year
He's now become a bother!"
The groundhog said, "Oh, goodness me,
What can this be about?
I think I'll go back in my hole
And next year, I'll come out!"
