Excuses, Excuses

The day was hot and reckless And I? I felt the same I was feeling young and feckless The day, it was to blame The evening too was daring It made me wild and brash Drove me to stop caring Made me heedless, made me rash Then night time's mindless passion Spurred me, fast and loose I lost all sense of right and fashion The night is also my excuse So force me to have second thoughts I'm begging for release I really shouldn't be wearing shorts Please call the fashion police
