A week ago when snow fell for hours, heavy snowflakes resembled butterflies descending on scented flowers, and they fell on that stranger's smooth face without bothering of wiping them off; was she chased by an obsessed dwarf? I got a step closer to say, " Hello, beautiful! " But she hopped into a green cab dropping her phone; how often does a guy meet a girl that congenial, a girl who would smile...if she were in love with that one? I ran across York Avenue* to pick up that phone, it resembled a shattered crystal; someone screamed, "She is a model! " Had I been that lucky...I would have taken her on a cruise trip; and with no name to search for, whom would I have asked for help? I noted on the frosty window of Hair Care Unisex Salon an ad about Agony Aunt, " A therapist who fixes broken hearts by restoring their hope. " But searching for people's names who weren't posted on Facebook would have been an impossible task, and staring me in the eye as a stranded cat, she said, " Excitement can cause love blindness, any naive guy can mistake it for tenderness! " * Hair Care Unisex Salon is on York Avenue, NYC
