Eon: Part I
multiple millennia reduced to
centuries, centuries reduced to
decades & a period of decades
making up the life of one
completely random, accidental,
insignificant & meaningless
life, found on one planet in a
galaxy, in a universe of which it is
only an infinitesimally small
speck, a stain on the passage of
the miniscule history of this
species.
born beneath a sun,
like absolutely everyone else---
later said to be a “sign,”
a “sign”
later to be described as “bad”---
found down the river
in the depths of the city
amidst the pollution & rats---
the mother told the father &
the father left when he heard.
now, many a psychiatrist will say
that the abandonment of the father
early on, would promote down the line
an individual who is constantly devoid
of trust for another human being,
that is, being loved in such a manner
that one might develop such a
relation with said individual is an
impossibility &
many a shrink will determine this to
be the case even more, when both
parents bail on said child, but
mother could not afford to raise
this kid on her own, despite whatever
other reasons might have existed at
the time.
