Enough of mine

“Have you ever been jealous?”, they asked Why would I ever need to, I pondered Not for the big house, or the cars, or the shiny jewels I have enough of mine. Sometimes scrolling through the screen I see them flaunting their being In a fancy hotel, on an island with a grin “What a fool!”, I think and smile I have enough of mine. When days grow hard and life gets hopeless I turn to my friends for some solace They laugh and tell me about the promotion I rejoice with them in the celebration “What a win!”, I reply I have enough of mine. At dusk when the air gets chilly I think to myself with my cat Billy how it feels to dip my feet in the blue waters Oh! how it feels to be applauded as the night draws in with a big yawn “Why should I care?”, I sigh I have enough of mine.
