English Humor

ENGLISH HUMOR To read This I have translated the words in brackets.! PETROL (GAS) I needed to buy Petrol (Gas) today The price of it took my breath away A holiday this year I’ll not take Can’t afford it for goodness sake. A pound (2 dollars) a litre today There’s nothing we can do BUT PAY I need to buy a whistle and toot That in English slang means suit. I guess now that will have to wait As the money to spend I hesitate It can wait till another day I didn’t need a new whistle and toot anyway I don’t really mean to complain Besides if I did what would I gain I keep telling people prices will go down But they just look at me and frown I had nothing to do tonight So I thought this silly thing I’d write After you this silly poem written by me PLEASE don’t to harsh a CRITIC be. “OLD AGE ALLOWS ME POETIC LICENSE!!” R.
