Embodiments

We are the embodiments of emotions. I usually let the sorrow and the pain speak. They are the loudest ones. I dress them up in fog and light, hand them bones and tears, and blood. Make them bearable. Human and surreal at the same time. Distant, yet familiar, so that everyone knows they're not alone in this turpistic world.

Well said, Danika. As poets we bare the emotions we are feeling or the feelings the world around us gives us. We dress the up and make them presentable.

Basically, Turpism is more or less writing about unaesthetic things. It was a movement in art. For me, in many poems etc. it was finding beauty in those ugly/deadly things :)
