Education in the U.S. is broken. When I was teaching (in Texas) we didn't have unions. I don't think there should be unions in education. IMHO Your couplets tell the story well, my friend. Have a nice weekend! Bill

Education has now stooped into a business. Good education has become the privilege of the affluent. In our country too, a lot of money is disbursed as pension to teachers. To be frank I get more pension than my last salary. I seriously object to the unions in our area clamoring for more and more. Great thoughts dear Gershon.

I hear, dear Valsa. In Chicago too, many teachers get a higher annual pension salary than what they last made as a teacher! Insanity! But impossible to stop in a one-party dictatorship in Chicago and ALL of our big cities, unfortunately... Looks like we're coming full circle now: From the 18th century where only the rich could afford tutors to the rise of public education for the masses --- and now toward its dizzying, sickening fall. THUD!
