Eagle Feather Carried By the Wind
The northern wind catches me and takes me upriver
I repose for a bit next to teensy startled minnows
She returns for me and flicks me up into the sky
I am light and lithe, unhurried, unworried, and we are off.
You are so lucky! A prissy prim violet calls to me as I pass.
I do not understand floral, so I stick out my chin a bit.
Wind whispers against the leaves as we head through forest of oak.
I am on the road again, my heart singing, wishing for another eagle.
