Dusk
As dusk inks ebony skies,
stars unveil their timid light.
And a sanguine sun feigns death;
as shadows merge with the night.
Cotton-candy clouds cluster;
edged in magenta and grey.
And as night's curtain descends,
darkness tints the edge of day.
Merging with body and soul;
myth and reality meet.
And fairies sprinkle dewdrops,
to cool the lingering heat.
Creatures of the dark awake;
to a world that's very still.
And silence screams its loudest;
as nature bends to its will.
