Don'T Quit Your Daydream

I tried so long to get into your head While you would sleep in the dead of the night To be the monster underneath your bed Yet mid nightmare, I'd start to feel contrite I asked the greats to teach me how to scare So in the darkness you would feel terror My own conscience kept me from getting there No condition of my kind much rarer For we all vie for the same promotion Big bucks for boogeymen are in the screams All I want to do is cause commotion More than big rainbows and babbling streams But im the the nice guy on our nightmare team They just keep saying, "Don't quit your daydream" Nov 21, 2022
