Exchange your old mop for a new broom. D word, the dreaded one by far Intrinsic feel of loss and gloom Vows volunteered at the altar Oaths offered betwixt bride and groom… Reminiscing on past romance Cutting cards for another chance Eager kids will brighten your room

I have seen divorce through the eyes of loved ones and like Tom says I’d not wish it on anyone. It breaks many hearts. Hugs.

Margarita, Your poem is a beautifully crafted piece. How you’ve used the metaphor of exchanging an old mop for a new broom to symbolize moving on from past relationships is genuinely unique. The intrinsic feel of loss and gloom you’ve expressed resonates deeply. The reminiscence of past romance and the hope for a brighter future with eager kids is a poignant contrast. Keep up the excellent work! Your creativity shines through in your writing. - Blessings, Daniel

As a survivor I can relate. It's an awful thing I wouldn't wish on anyone

Hi Tom, with grave statistics haven’t we all?! I’m on my third attempt after raising 3 daughters by myself. Better be last :)
