Decibels of Introspection
Decibels of introspection echo
from one wall to the next.
A moment of inspiration may lead a weary soul
and allow some departure from the text.
Don’t bind your heart’s desire’s so tightly,
don’t weight yourself to this poor world.
A new order of things emerges;
We are all put to a final text.
Where liaisons of pleasure exist,
so too do some wounded hearts meet.
I found you on a plane where no touch existed;
Somewhere desolation reigned.
Come to this bastion of body heat;
This time-worn fire that roars on.
Here where the concubines
steal your heart with a single glance.
Here where there are no limits,
no restraint, and not a former memory to recall.
