Death of Mighty Cat
Full of mice was the house,
As was my head, full of lice as well.
On those mice, daily the mighty cat fed;
Like pets, behaved the mice.
A mouse here, the massive cat has seen.
On it to heavily once bounce for dinner.
Into their nests, refuge they took;
Silent like a graveyard, the home became.
The environs grew shier and more moribund;
More foes the mighty slayer cat had created.
Upon hearing of his disappearance, only to rejoice,
Out for a vesperal dance, all stupid rats flocked.
Shockingly to only notice late cat’s cousin among them;
Invited by some injudicious daughters of rodents,
The lives of an ethnicity to foolishly endanger;
Not knowing that at night, all cats are black.
