Construction of Memory

We were playing a game on the way to school of naming things we could see (a game of concentration apparently, clapping was involved). As we were passing a construction site I said "two by four" and surprised myself. Of course it's actually toobafou if I'd wanted to sound like an expert. I was briefly back in my Grandad's garden learning how to use a saw. I believe you let the saw do the work, keep it at an angle and it shouldn't be noisy.* Ahh just looked again on the way back and it's actually two by six I saw. *This was probably one by two **Pretty sure the standard is that everyone must talk about two by four for approximately 1 year of every childhood. Looks like I've just entered that era, so I'd better do some research.

It's a joy when a lost memory returns... I spent tons of time in the garden with him planting potatoes, tending to tomato plants, learning the names of flowers, carving my initials in a tree, learning to tie knots, building a fence, cutting the grass, doing the crossword - it feels like childhood is several lifetimes sometimes. Hopefully you have happy memories elsewhere from.childhood though x

Ah how cool you learned how to use a saw so young and such fond memories you think of when you pass by certain areas or places too, i love the way you always deliver your experiences and thoughts, in such an engaging manner and this is definitely that, so much has changed but feels sometimes like it didnt, altho this is definitely a new era where i need so much research done too: hah! Sounds like a fun game tooX construction game! Yes its good to keep your brain active.pleasure reading you

It is nice when things trigger a sweet memory. I didn't become any more skilled than I was the first day I picked up a saw unfortunately. There's still time haha
