Class Clown
I’m going to be a class clown.
That’s my New Year’s resolution.
I’m going to be silly.
Even the quiet people will laugh!
I’m determined to make that happen.
I will keep spirits high in January.
By shooting milk out of my nose while I’m cross eyed.
Everyone is going to want to be my friend.
I won’t be shy after New Year’s.
I won’t be “cool” I suppose.
But I can be the funny one!
I got a chance on January 2nd.
It was my co-worker’s 30th birthday.
Co-workers love 30th birthdays.
While they all eat their cake like fancy adults.
I make a mess!
And they chuckle.
It’s not boisterous as I planned.
But I did strike up conversation!
Yes,
It’s hard to make friends as adults.
But I found a way!
