Chinese American Girl
Jill lives in a cruel world.
She's on guard for
people are mean
to a half breed.
She'll not wear a hat or
a bowed down head when walking.
Wearing flowers in her hair she
speaks louder than words
with no voice
as her face lights the room
and turns heads.
