Burning Hearts
There is something inside of some of us.
The few and far between of us.
That gives us the strength when there’s nothing left.
That pushes us to finish when all we want is to sleep.
The light that makes us laugh in our darkest hour.
The answer when we just don’t know how.
How we’ll get through another day.
And such long nights and stay…
We fight until the end,
Or until there’s nothing left.
Until we’ve given more than all we’ve got,
Until our final breath.
It’s a fire deep inside,
That separates the few.
It’s the passion we can’t hide.
The passion I see in you.
The revolution’s waiting.
It calls out for soldiers.
We are the burning hearts.
That hold the world on their shoulders.
Without a word.
Without a sound.
We’ll never fall.
And we will never back down.
