Broken Friendship
Love, when it pulsated brightly, shined fiercely
Love, when it got awakened, smiled wisely
Into mundane rituals it would no more delve
Why, love now seeks only the pleasures of the world above
Love made its intentions clear
The once to be beloved can shed more than one tear
It would matter not, it would deter love not
For bent it was on following the rules of its own slot
But love was offered friendship
Yes, innocent and harmless friendship
The once to be beloved knew of life and its ways
The once to be beloved knew that here, counted are the days
The heart was repulsed by such a notion
Love had showed to it, its ugliest face
Now turning it into a friendship, would be a disgrace
Pray, love had already shed off its chains, love had already met its evolution
Such a scene was played once, years ago
Today, I do regret having refused a friendship
Pray, the holy seers of sooth did say it loud and clear
In every individual is to be found the divine's peer
Having refused a friendship makes me sinful and incomplete
Having refused a friendship turns me into a being so mean
Mind you, I am not laden with sorrow
But regret fills in my soul, regret, so full and so keen
Life is just a ride, we follow its course blindly, as if we were on a ship
Trusting the captain to bring us to our destination safely
Pray, a never tied knot of friendship is the only regret I hold tight
Yes, such does makes me bitter and shows me not at my own best!
I wish, I really do wish that such could be mended
But it is so hard to melt a soul, hurt and offended
Yes, such shall remain my pulsating regret
Pray, a friend, in this world, is indeed hard to get!
