Biggest Insecurity
My biggest insecurity
Has always been my silence.
Everyone loves talking;
Noise over quiet.
Especially so
In the presence of others.
But I was built quiet
And it is still my fear
That my quiet is too much
For others to bare.
I cherish meeting people
Who understand my quiet.
They do not pressure me
Or get upset
When I never speak
Or don’t talk enough.
They understand
That for me
Speaking takes time.
They give me that time.
You never did.
