beach

Beach. Sand. Grains between toes, tiny worlds. Salt. Lick it from the breeze, taste the ocean’s memory. Waves. Rise, fall, repeat. Crash. Roar. Whisper. The ocean speaks in tongues. Sun. Kisses skin, a warm embrace, but burns if you stay too long. Shells. Stories of creatures long gone, silent echoes in my palm. Footprints. Here. Gone. The sand forgets quickly. Horizon. Where the sky meets the sea, a line that never ends, a promise of something more. Wind. It plays, teases, pulls my hair like a memory. Time. Slows. Stretches. I could live here, forever lost in the blue. Beach. Endless. Yet always, it begins again.
