a figment of my imagination
trapped in a cage of my own making
forging a path
through the cobwebs of my mind
drowning in the clutter of neglect
impaled by the bitterness of the unknown
I will not give in
I will not budge
the cost may be high
but I will not - cannot
and yet, things are not as bad as they might seem
I will somehow get through this
