"The glory of this earth I'll miss. Though when I leave
this realm one day. Sparks from my life are sure to stay."
Quote _Connie Marcum Wong
It is autumn and leaves are old,
they are falling, falling, twirling;
red, orange, brown curling, whirling.
Delightful are the veined leaves gold,
the sun is still lovely and bright;
but the raw wind has a cool bite.
I walk a faded forest cold,
for my poetic friend has died;
she whispers in the leaves that glide.
And here and there grow marigold,
orange glows within the decay;
and above me bare branches sway.
Love the curled leaves a millionfold,
as birds sing an autumn lament;
in the crisp, dying earthy scent.
It is autumn and leaves are old,
delightful are the veined leaves gold.
I walk a faded forest cold,
and here and there grow marigold;
love the curled leaves a millionfold.
