At the Mall

As soon as I stepped through the doors of the mall I ran into two old friends John and Paul They were with two girls the first named Karen And I think the other girl was named Sharon I went to the supermarket to get an Iced Coffee In the lolly section I couldn’t resist the old English toffee As I headed to the checkout I bought a cold soft drink Only to find the cash register was on the brink An apology given accompanied by a wink Next I went to the pet store Which is to the right on the second floor I was irritated to find five puppies in a small cage Subsequently I felt anger and rage I wanted to free them before it was too late Images like these feel your heart with hate I then went to the music shop To buy a CD anything but POP I bout a CD by 30 Seconds to Mars And a CD entitled for guys who like cars I went to a shop called the electronic boutique Because the prices are good and products unique I purchased a game for the Playstation 2 And had my eye or more than a few I went into the newsagency to get a paper I came out with a ruler, pencil case and even a stapler I bought a magazine on the world cup of cricket And purchased a concession multi-trip bus ticket With both hands full I decided I needed a trolley As I stepped outside into the rain I regretted not bringing a brolley I went to the food court to get something to eat Couldn’t decide between chicken or red meat I bought a smoothie from the fruit bar And next door purchased a lottery ticket to win a car I went to the chemist to put in a prescription While I was there a shoplifter was getting a police led eviction I walked past a group of kids hanging out the front of some shops Being intently watched by security and the transit cops I went to the jewellers to obtain a watch I ended up purchasing a two-toned swatch I went to the department store to get some shoes and socks And ended up with a shirt and a ten pack of jocks I went to the discount store to get a birthday card There lack of variety made the selection quite hard Went to the cinemas to see what was showing Crowded with kids my impatience was growing I decided it would be best to wait till next week I wonder if then they will still be showing wolf creek I decided it was time to leave as I had purchased enough The trolley was full of so much stuff That was my experience at the mall A place where if you spend cash you can have a ball
